New Trolley Will Not Run

Just bought a "NIB" Bachmann Trolley on eBay, and it doesn't run.  It lights up, and other trains run fine on the same track.  I cleaned the track anyway, but that had no effect.  Gears appear to be normally lubricated.  eBay seller suggested I ask for help from Bachmann before requesting a refund or exchange.  Any advice for getting the trolley moving?

If it was not purchased new from a Bachmann Retailer you should go back to the person it was purchased from. If you would like Bachmann to service the item there will be a service charge.
