Just received new in the box a 2 4 2 part number 91114. Will this be able to run out side ok compared to all of my 4 6 0. It looks as if Bachmann has re released this in a new set. Any history or feed back will be appreciated  Thanks  Frank

your locomotive first came out in1989  and was re-released with the same number 91114 in 1998 with an improved drive train.

91114   PRR   3   1989   ~ Loco   2-4-2, with tender, PRR   P         coal load   $120.00


The original MSRP was $120 in 1989, Im not sure what it was in when re-released in 1998

The 1989 locomotive was a poor runner but quite popular which is why it was improved.
Here are the other 2-4-2's with tenders.

I do not know of any large scale engine that can't be run outdoors.  I would bring it inside if rain is forecast, or you live in a region with heavy dew.  Most engines have enough electrical components in them now that they should be kept as dry as possible.  Unlike, some of the early LGB engines that could be run in the rain.

Thank you for the reply. When I get the road bed up once more I will try to see how it performs. By the way I bring all of the rolling stock in after I an done playing with it.
