I was wondering, can the steel track work together with the nickel track?

to curtdupre :  Basically   Yes steel track will  work with nickel silver track , though  nickel silver is easier to keep clean  and has more types of track as far as  EZ track is concerned.  John 2 .

If the Code of the rails is the same for both, yes.  My advice is to save yourself headaches down the road and replace your steel track with n/s track.   My 2 cents.
