Maine central 4-4-0 no. 84 DCC / no sound - big problem

I bought one of these discontinued Richmond engines from a discount house 5 weeks ago.  One cross head guide just broke, rendering the engine inoperable.

CONUNDRUM:

It's past the 10 day return time frame at the discount house but they have more of this discontinued engine in stock.  Bachmann  would replace but certainly has no more in stock. 

Any suggestions or comments?  Particularly from the Bach Man. I would go for replacement with a modern Baldwin 4-4-0, but would much prefer another no. 84.

Well I have to report that the Bach Man stepped up to the plate and between him and the vendor the issue is resolved and the customer is very pleased.  A great Customer Service experience!
