NJ HO club open house this weekend

Hi,

The club I belong to in Asbury Park, NJ is having its annual open
house the last two weekends of October.

The layout features a section representing the South Bethlehem works
along with other anthracite rr scenes.

If you are in the area, it would be great to meet you!

Headline: Shore Area Model Train Group Hosts 44th Annual Open House

What: The Garden State Central Model Railroad Club, Inc. of Asbury
Park will host its 44th Annual Open House this October. The event will
feature a huge HO scale train layout with a 300 foot mainline
traversing four rooms. A mu ltimedia presentation and white elephant
table will also be featured.


The railroad features prototype scenes modeled after actual places
along the route from Scranton, PA to Jersey City, NJ. Highlights
include the huge Bethlehem Steel Mill in Bethlehem, PA and the
operating McMyler Car Dumping Machine which lifts entire coal cars
into the air and turns them over to dump the loads out. Trains roll
behind the the infamous Coney Island Texas Weiners in Scranton, past
the well-known blue gas tank in Allentown and call on the docks of
Jersey City... all in 1:87th scale!


Where: 607 8th Avenue, on the corner of Deal Lake Drive in North
Asbury Park.


When: October 19, 20 & 21 and October 26, 27 & 28, 2007

Fridays 7-9 p.m., Saturdays & Sundays 12-4 p.m.


Admission: Donation of $3 for adults, $2 for children and seniors
