I have 2 4-8-2 steam locos and on one the headlight is very dim and the other does not work. Any ideas how to fix these headlights?

Are they DC or DC?

they are both dcc

There are lots of tech type repair people around.  I've used one for years to do this kind of un-fun repair work that gets in the way of more enjoyable, for me, aspects of model railroading.
