Turn table problem

My turntable turns ok but all the sidings are dead.  Any thoughts anyone.

Sidings are dead until the bridge lines up to the siding you are using.
Note that the only power feed to the turntable track should be the #4 indexing track, no other track should be hooked to the main line.
If the siding is dead when the bridge is lined up to it check the levelness of your TT. I had to mount mine on a piece of plywood and countersink screws between the sidings so I could level it off to make contact.

I'll check that is level.  I have it hooked to the #4 track.  It worked fine for 2 years and suddenly went dead.

Try cleaning and lubing the bridge to siding electrical contacts.

Any advice on the best way to clean and lube the contacts on the turntable

Do not file or sand them-or any other set of contact points either!  One of the things you really have to watch out for in turn-table construction is how it hits the points, how much it wobbles, etc-and all if this will require a bit of tinkering and tweaking.
