F7B shell on an F2B frame

Will a Bachmann F2B shell fit onto a Bachmann F7B frame.  I have an F2B locomotive with DCC/Sound that I need to convert and repaint and re-decal to an Alaska F7B.

Dear RB,
Probably not.
Not only are the frames different lengths, but the trucks and sounds are wrong (presuming you mean FA/FB to F-7 A/B).

Minor point here but: -

Alco/MLW model designations have the dash, FA-1/FB-1; FA-2/FB-2.

However: -

EMD/GMD model designations do NOT have the dash, F3A/F3B; F7A/F7B.

We should be accurate.
