So today I got Bachmann Gordon and I must say I love him. However, when I tried to run him with the express coaches, he would not tolerate BACHMANN's E-Z track system of curves (i.e the radius of the curves). Either he would stop because his wheels were not touching the ground, or he would derail every time he went over a curve. I have three questions.
1.) why is this is problem if I am using a BACHMANN train on BACHMANN track?
2.) how can I fix this problem?
3.) if I cannot fix it, what other tracks systems do you recommend that would work?
P.S.- I also have spencer and Henry both of them EDIT- WORK THEY BOTH WORK

How much space is there between the wheels and chassis? Most engines will have enough room in the center driver for it to "slide" to help it run on curves with ease.

About 2.5 inches? Give or take

Try using 22" radius curves they are a lot bigger but they might answer your problem.

Just wondering, how's Gordon on switches, I recently got him (fantastic model) and he struggles a little, is he the same with you?

No, he does fine on switches, it's just the curves!

Yeah, it seems it's seems that he struggles on 18" radius curves.

What's ironic is that Bachmann sold a set a while back that had Gordon and his express coaches going around an 18" circle!!!
