The tender weight was included for two reasons.

One, because I had the information available.

Two, because I add weight to most of my tenders (especially Bachmann), so other comparing the data with their equipment may note a difference.

As of those tests, it was not counted as a car. the cars used for those tests are a large fleet of identical Athearn 50' piggyback cars, all with Kadee trucks, and Intermountain wheelsets, weighing 4.3 oz each.
