Reading in another forum that the Bachmann GG1 with sound is available.
Checked a couple online sites and they have it.
Search online.

Does anyone know if the DCC/sound-equipped models (GG1s) will run in DC mode?

Thanks,

Yes, all Bachmann locos run on DC. Check the onine catalogue page.

Thank you.  I've been waiting for these (GG1s) to arrive; considering making the move from DC to DCC but haven't quite come to grips with it yet.  I'll opt for sound-equipped/DCC units and look forward to hearing them some day.

Note that on DC a sound equipped loco has a small speed range. It takes around 7 volts to get the loco sound started and the loco moving.  Joe

Go to www,youtube.com and search. Many post videos there of their hobbies.
Some videos are not the best but the sounds can be heard.

Get a good DCC system for full effects of speed control and modifying sounds.
