My new locomotive hums

   Where can I find the decoder CV specs for EMD SD40-2 DCC ONBOARD decoder ,and can I use DECODER PRO TO program it.
The motor hum on start is not so good.

Yes, you can use Decoder Pro to program it if Decoder Pro supported by your DCC system.

If your Loco is Brand New out of the Box everything inside the motor are tight & just might need to be ran on your layout to break everything in. & your motor hum most likely will go away & not hum any longer.
