Dcc Chip installation - Class 105 dummy car

Hi, I'm having problems getting the dummy car chip to respond to lighting controls.
In fact getting it to respond to anything would be a start!!

What is the process to 'code' the chip in the dummy car - can anyone help please

Treat the decoder like any other loco. Do a decoder reset. CV8, enter 8.

It is not a chip. It is a decoder. All DCC companies so far sell decoders. The chips, IC's are one the decoder.
