E-Z crossover #6

I have purchased an E-Z #6 crossover, but I am a bit confused, an addendum in the package says the turnouts are not polarized and you can plug the black wires into the connector to polarize it.  I am running DCC, do I connect or not?

You should not have to unless you are experiencing any of your smaller loco's stalling on the frog.
I hooked all mine up just so I would not have to rip up the turnout again.
