How to wire a switch (turnout)

Putting together an HO set that I just inherited. Has a couple of switches. Each has 3 wires - red, green, yellow. Controller has DC outlet (for track) and AC outlet (for accessorie)s. Also have some TYCO switch boxes. Would appreciate any guidance on how to wire switches. Thanks.
