Opening Spectrum Passenger Car

How do I open a Spectrum passenger car to insert people?  These are passenger cars probably from the 1970's (with the early Spectrum PRR K-4).  The item number is 89015; it's a coach, but I also have a diner and combine.

Dear TR,
The windows and roof are a one piece mold. Release the tabs from below and the entire assembly will lift off.
