Bachmann DC Turnouts/crossovers wiring

I'm putting together a n scale layout and want to control all turnouts and crossovers from a control panel , can I cut the plugs that go to the switch that came with the turnouts and add a extension wire and wire in the plug at the control panel,  without losing power to make the switches work right

yes you can splice in more wire. if you wire the outer two wires there is no need to redo them , just flip the plug over at the controller.
