Inter-changeable shells?

Hi guys, I have several older 44 and 70 ton GEs with the two motor mech.I have a cjance to buy some newer shells for the current mechanism and am wondering if the shells are interchangeable.

I know for sure the 44-tonner shells interchange.  I put older two-motor shells on newer single motor frames.  I would venture to guess the 70-tonners are the same.
