Couplings compatility

Hi I am new to Bachmann trains.  Can someone tell me if the Bachmann couplings arecompatible with OO Gauge Hornby and Lima trucks and carriages and if not how can I use the Bachmann trucks on my Hornby layout.

Bachmann's OO train models, available in the UK have couplers compatible with other manufacturers such as Hornby's offering.

Bachmann's HO train models have a different style of couplers, which are compatible with the USA standard Kadee and other couplers.

This is Bachmann's USA website, they also have a UK website, where you can probably find better answers to your questions.

Translation. 

Trucks = Freight cars not the four wheeled things the freight cars ride on.  Bogies = North American trucks.

Carriages = Passenger cars.
