Does it have sound

Well am looling at HO SCALE NEW IN BOX BACHMANN DIGITAL COMMANDER TRAIN SET it has 2 dcc loco like to no does the loco have sound i them or you have to add a sound board.I see the control can control the sound.

A simple solution is to read the ad in the Online Product Catalog link at the top left of this page. The ad tells you what is in the set.

There's your answer.
It is nice set to start out with. Sound could be added but it's a lot of work to do. Do some searching on this forum, there has been a lot of questions on adding sound.
Bachmann makes the Sound Commander series which is really nice. They are steam loco's not diesel's and it comes with the Dynamis instead of the EZ Command.
Bachmann does not sell sound decoders to add to their loco's you would have to go with Soundtraxx or another co. that sells them.

the set you want is the sound commander. it comes with a much better dcc controller, but only one loco. you'd have to buy a second loco as an addition.

standard line Bachmann locomotives would be difficult to add sound to as there is no provision for a speaker. modifications to the chassis would have to be made, which would mean a complete disassembly of the locomotive and milling of the chassis. this is no project for a beginner. it would also probably void the warranty.
