Bachmann standard B30-7 diesel loco

My Missouri Pacific and Santa Fe Bachmann GE locos look good and run even better.  However, the headlights are too dim.  I have the factory light board and run them on analog DC (not into DCC).  Has anyone changed to a brighter LED?  If so, which one works? 

Also, the dummy couplers are in a box attached to the body by twin screws.  The couplers have a hole on one end and are not T-shanks.  Has anyone upgraded one of these locos to Micro-Trains couplers?   Bachmann now makes working knuckle couplers, but I have only seen T-shank versions which would not fit this loco.

Micro-Trains makes a coupler that will work in that application, but I don't remember the part number.  The coupler shank has a hole in it for the screw to pass through, and the spring fits into the back end of the shank behind the screw.

They come with their own coupler boxes.
