Ballast Regulator - decoder install.

Hi folks, has anyone done a decoder install in a Bachmann Ballast regulator?
The hook up seems straightforward enough for hardwiring but where do you put the decoder??  I am using a Digitrax DZ125 which measures 1/2  X  5/16  but there still does not seem to be anywhere to hide it in the motor compartment. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
