2-4-4-2 light question

Hi all

I have a new 2-4-4-2 with sound that is a great little locomotive.  My only "complaint" about it is that the headlight and backup light both cooperate simultaneously and are overly bright.  Does anyone know a CV setting that will allow the two lights to operate indepenently and with directional operation?  (ie forward light on when moving forward, etc.)  Is it possible to change the intensity of the lights, or would that require wiring in a resistor into each lighting circuit?

My nitpick on some of the older engines is they have a directional light.  In actual service, they'd turn the light on and that would be it, if they had to back up you might turn that one on too, you might not. 

Even modern diesels don't change the headlight every time they change directions, and I see plenty come down by with a rear light still on on the last locomotive, or both on a single unit.

Dear Kevin,
The lights represent oil lights. The crew did not run back and forth extinguishing and relighting the lamps every time they changed direction; both would remain lit.

Sorry Mr. B i have to disagree.
There is a steam generator present and a wire running towards the frontlight, representing an electrical connection.
Obvious conclusion......electric lighting.

To switch the lights.
CV33=1
CV34=2
To incorporate the steamgenerator sound the CV's should be 65 and 66
Should do the trick.
And yes, the choice of power leds is a bit to much!
I don't have to switch on the room lights to see where i am  ;D
I will have to experiment with a resistor in between the lighting wiring.
