I have been givn the task of helping my grandsons set up an HO layout. I am an old O gauge guy so I don't know much about HO. I am looking for some yard and line operating signals. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks.

my two favorites are Oregon Rail and NJ International.  I've also started building my own.   Phil

If you are up to assembling kits, these look interesting. Have a couple on order from LHS - which means I haven't used them yet.

We offer a comlete selection of block signals. Part numbers are 114, 115, 116, 131, 132, 133, and 134. They represent most of the common configurations of "Union Switch and Signal Prototypes. They all come complete with LED's and resistors for 12 volt operation.

We are now offering 2 of our most popular Block Signals Built up. Our single and double target searchlight signals come ready to install right out of the package. Featuring our BI-Color red/green LED, the can easily be made 3-color with the addition our #303 Driver Circuit. They can be operated with any detection system designed for LED's. Actually, I'm in the middle of building some temporary 'stand in' signals of both mast and dwarf types until the nice kits are done. A few 3mm LED pirated from Christmas lights and odds and ends of styrene shapes and away we go.

Hang on, will be back with pictures in a bit.
They are not intended to be rivet-counting accurate - they are intended to be something functional for the meantime. Are connected to Caboose Industries ground throws with electrical contacts, don't have the number handy but they can be searched out online.

In operation on oour club layout. Not so much replicating specific prototype signal practices; more as telling us which way the turnout is thrown.
Red on the mast signal tells mainline train to stop because turout is against the main and green dwarf tells passing siding can enter the main. That mast signal is purchased assembled.
