Hi could you please tell me how to put the pin that looks like a screw that holds the rods in place to the drive wheel on a 2-6-6-2 nickel plate locomotive. I tried to get the screw out but it seams to be stuck to the rod, do you screw it in or is it a fiction fit.
thanks

They just push into the hole in the driver on these.

The crank pin should not be stuck to the drive rod, but rather be stuck in the driver.
If the pin is sloppy in the driver, try some Loctite blue 425.
The drive rod must float freely between the crankpins, there will be a little bit of slop, but the rod should not bind on the pin or get stuck on it.
Most of the time when that happens, the pin will turn in the driver and come out, and you will throw a rod.
Is that what maybe happened?
