Since 1833?

Bachmann says it has been around since 1833. Did they even have model trains in 1833. If not, what did they do until they got in the train buisness.

They made brushes for women's hair.   They switched from tortoiseshell to plastic and from plastic went to model trains.  That's why their early stuff was so recalcitrant and cranky.  ;D

Bachmann's non train related products were pretty good..good enough that the US Army ordered them.
