I've just ordered a Bachmann HO 2-8-0 w/DCC, SF #2511 BAC51311 from a shop in the states and am wondering if there is an easy way to fit the "Thomas" style couplings to it. The same question also applies to the 1860 - 1880 Passenger Car
Part #: 13401.

For those who may be wondering why, the "Thomas" type coupling (or a version of it) is standard to most British rolling stock and while the Kadee looks great it would be uneconomic for me to convert to it.

perhaps you'd be better off making a couple of "conversion" cars.     that's what we did in the old days when all rolling stock came with those horn hook couplers.    a conversion car has a different coupler on each end, so you don't have to go to the expense of converting all your rolling stock to one type or the other.

there was just a thread in the thomas section on how to add a knuckle coupler to a coal wagon. this could be adapted to just about any car.
