I just ordered a Schnabel car and heard there were problems when screwing the brackets to the transformer that they were stripping. Just wondering and can't wait till it comes in. It was hard to find one.

Just be careful and don't over-tighten the screws. I have put quite a few together for shows and haven't had any problems in this regard.

Others have reported drilling out the holes to slightly over size and using larger screws solved the problem.
