So the starter set i bought used had ez command dcc switches which were fine when i could see what was going on in front of me. but when i expanded my layout 30ft away i decided to get remote turnouts and green extension wires so i would know which direction the switch was thrown. Went to plug them in to my controller. No outlets. What do i do now?

If you are trying to plug the green wires into the EZ Command that is not possible. They are designed to operate with their own switches. Do you have decoder equipped turnouts? If so there are no places to plug the green wire in on that either. A little more info and we can better understand what you are asking.
It sounds like you purchased the remote turnouts like the one pictured in this link,

which will have to get their power supply from a separate power source such as a wal-wart or a controller for DC operation such as the power pack Bachmann has item#44212 pictured here.

As Jerry says, a separate power source is needed for turnouts.  I use an EZ Command to control my locos and an old MRC Railpower 1300 to power all my many EZ track remote turnouts.  Model Train Stuff has a bunch of MRC #AA300s for sale at $24.99.  http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/MRC-Railpower-1300-p/mrc-aa300.htm
