Take N Play is too small for an OO scale face of Paxton.

Sparks is right, i haven't used either faces because both are far too small to fit the front of the Bachmann 08.

And yes, Reginald is indeed another fantasy character, named him after C. Reginald Dalby, who illustrated the first set of RWS books, I am working on two more locos the same class as Reginald, but names are to be announced later in the year.

He's based on an 0-6-0 J94, in LNER Apple Green.

The model i used is the same from the Bachmann Junior range here in the UK (Not the one that looks like Thomas), again, i have planned two more engines on the same class, who i created on paper years back, who are finally going to get some spotlight.

Stepney, when you re-do your 009 models (like you said you would on your blog), will you add handrails, piping and rivets to make them more CGI style?  They would look incredible!

Lemmie guess...the second one is "John" (after John T Kenney, the second RWS illustrator) and the other would be "Peter" or "Gunvor" (after Peter and Gunvor Edwards, the third illustrators).  Am I right?

I'm looking at adding her water-cannons today by drilling holes in her tank water filler caps, I'm not really sure as to where i can find any lamps to go on her buffer beam, but i have added a headlamp to her smoke-box from the trackmaster model.

Still got a fair way to go yet, but from the feedback I've had on the World of Thomas Modelling Board, friends cannot wait to see her when she is finished fully, that that won't be for a while yet!

She still has a lot of work to be done before i can class her as finished. The body is needing a bit more work done to it, in order to fit the water cannons and other little details, but hopefully these won't take too long to do, and if they do, it will be worth the wait when she is fully finalized!

Do you always use Tomica/Trackmaster faces for your engines? Except you made Jolly with wooden Bash/Dash's face.

Referring back to your Jolly model, I was watching Toy Story 3 today with my younger cousins, and the loco in the movie did have cylinder rods. I just thought I'd mention that

I mostly use faces i can source, some from Trackmaster models, some from Wooden Railways models, it all comes down to size, if the faces are too large or too small, they aren't touched, but yes, most of my models use faces from both brands.

I've taken faces from Take-n-play and Wooden. In the case of my Duncan model, I wanted the smallest I could find, which surprisingly was the Wooden version.
