Operating Multiple Tracks - Tidmouth Sheds

In Video 1, engines on any track seems to be able to move, as long as the table is connected to it.

In Video 2, it seems that the only track that can be operated is one that is positioned directly across from the power source track.

I'm in the same situation that Video 2 is in, so I'm a bit confused on what's going on.

In video 2, it clearly explains that the track with a power source has to be connected to that certain spot on Tidmouth Sheds' turntable.
