On my layout I will have a reverse section of track and 2 turntables. My question can I use one Reverse loop module or do I need 3? The second question do I need a 9" power terminal # 44597 for the turntables. Thank you in advance.

What type of tt are you using. I know I am wrong but is your design point to point with a tt at each end? If so the Bachmann tt for this configuration does not need a reverse loop module, it actually reverse's thru the tt. Other tt are different and do need speacial wiring. Check out this link that was posted by one of our favorite posters (richg).

What is a "tt" that you refer?

Len

You'll need an automatic reversing module for the 'reverse loop' for sure. Whether you'll need one for the turntables depends on which TT you're using, and whether any of the holding tracks connect back into the main or yard tracks. In other words, more information needed to answer your question.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

The turntables are a Heljan 804 HO 98' and a Atlas #305 motorized unit

I'm back from the winter vacation in Florida and back to railroading. On page 30 of" Model Railroader book"," DCC Projects & Applications" it states to use a MRC AD310 decoder for the reverse application for a turntable. Who makes it, sells it, etc? Thanks again for any help given.

I use the Bachmann reverse loops with the insulated track. They work great. The Favorite Spot has them cheap.
I am sure your LHS could order the MRC one's or you could try an online site.

I don't know how far you have got with your set up but RichG provided this link which is very useful. Scroll around they have wiring for reverse loops and turntables,etc...

The Atlas does not need a reversing module. It is designed to do the reverse as it turns, be it DC or DCC.
The Heljan 804 seems to need a reversing module according to the below link.

John-

In theory, at least, you can use one reverse module for the reverse loop and both turntables. I'm not certain what would happen if the module had to respond to two conflicts simultaneously. However, it might not ever have to. The reversing circuit is lightning fast, almost literally, so two events which appear simultaneous to our human eyes might be distinctly separate from the perspective of the electronics.

Thank You all for your info. I think I will use two Bachmann Reverse Loop Modules. One on my main line reverse section and the other hooked up to the two Turntables. Maybe I won't need to use it for the Atlas Turntable.

Hope you have better luck than I did on my first attempt to hook up my Atlas TT.
This was before I joined this forum, I actually got so disgusted trying to figure out the wiring diagram I ran out and purchased the Bachmann TT. It is a very nice one with no special wiring and nice details.
I am sure if you hit a snag on the wiring someone here will help you through it. The link I posted was from richg which shows the wiring procedure. I could of used it, but I am glad I purchased the Bachmann one.

I'm interested by the answer to hcopter51 question also. I asked Atlas about wiring the same Atlas TT and if I can use the Bachmann Reversing Loop Module. I did not receive any answer. Thank You all for your replys.
