Quiet Mode not working

I have a Bachmann HO 51801 Alco 2-6-0 Mogul Pennsylvania #3236 DCC & Sound
and am having a very difficult time trying to get the sound to shut down when not in use the only thing that works is the mute button.  I have tried multiple values for CV 113 from 1 - 255 with no luck. i have even tried emergency stop all that does is stop the motion of locomotive sound still continues where as again all other loco's simulate engine shut down. the main reason trying to figure this out is as soon as power is applied to track the sound starts which is annoying if not running that Loco.  All my other engines are quiet power is applied.  Have filled the service form with Bachmann but with no response was hoping someone here might have the answer.

Thanks Jerry had saw that but was hoping there was another solution at least for being able to to start up the track and not have sound, because using F8 before shutdown didn't keep sound off after power down and up.
