Switch and Turnout Extension Wiring Issues

I'm trying to set up new layout with EZ track, and I'm having trouble with the switches on the wiring.  When I install the prewired extensions for the switches, they will not work.  The switch will work without the extension, though. I also tried putting 4 prongs into the controller. One switch works, but another does not.

We need more information to help you. What are you using for a power supply" By "will work without the extension," do you mean that you can change the turnout position with your hand or what? What do you mean by "extension?"
