I'm new at this and need some help. I have a NCE power pack and just purchased the Bachmann Steam locomotive DCC Tsunami.
What is this CV? I need to synchronize the chug chug sound to the speed of the locomotive. Using the NCE ,how is it done?
The instruction does not tell you how to do it.

Thanks,
Andy

If you have no prior experience with DCC (Digital Command Control) you may want to pick up a "Basics" book on DCC setup and operation so that you can aquaint yourself with the theory and then put it into practice with the system you have. Kalmbach publishing has some great DCC books and there are other publishers out there. Just do a quick internet search to see what is available.

I have had the NCE Power Cab for about five years. It comes with an instruction book.

Forgot to mention, look at the CV list for your loco. The CV list page is at the SoundTraxx site.

http://www.soundtraxx.com/manuals.php

Store the link in Favorties. You will need it.

Click on Documents for Factory Installed Decoders. Select Bachmann and your loco.
Follow instructions.

Below is a sample on how to find many answers rather quickly. You can see, about 2 million results. You "might" find an answer on CV's. Took about 0.08 seconds. Any forum will never answer that rapidly.
You can save the links you like to Favorites for future use and to give to others. You have enough results to compare data in case a site or two has incorrect data which can happen sometimes.

Some of my DCC info is in the manuals with the DCC products but a much larger percentage is in the Internet links I have.
Anyone who can use a PC can do this. Even a Cave Man can do it. The argument that I am not PC savvy does not fly.
