Can someone tell me how the GP-40 Diesel shell is fastened to the frame.  I would like to remove the shell to replace the DCC board.  It would appear that the screws that attach the couplers may be doing dual duty and also hold the shell on.  Am I correct in making that assumption?

Take a small thin blade screw driver and pry off the fuel tank . You will see 2 diagonal screws ,remove those 2 screws and gently pull the shell up and forward  . You do not have to remove the trucks...
