The exact scale of H0 is 3.5 mm = 1 foot by definition.  The approximate scale of H0 is 1/87 full size or .1378" = 1 foot.  If you do not have a scale ruler marked in H0 scale feet and inches, you may find 1/8" = 1 foot (1/96 full size) to be useful.  It shrinks large buildings by about 10%, making them easier to fit on a layout but still correctly proportioned.

Growing older is mandatory but growing up is optional.

Your local hobby shop may have an HO scale ruler to sell. They are available from a lot of internet retailers. Good luck with your project.

Maybe a good Psychiatrist for the "dementions".  Sorry, couldn't resist.  Stephen

I have the HO scale ruler.
I also just divide full scale by 87 or multiply HO scale by 87.
If on my PC at a train website, I use the calculator in the PC.
