what is the most reliable bigboy on the market with dcc/sound

Good to hear from you again.

Most reliable would be an opinion.  I can't offer one.

However,  the Athearn version is out of production.  Would be hard to find.  Rivarossi is releasing a new Big Boy in the near future.  It will have DCC and Sound.  I saw their new Allegheny at the last train show.  Looked and sounded great.  I expect their Big Boy will be a hit as well.  You can reserve one in advance.  I don't see an expected delivery date, yet.

A bra$$ version would only run on really wide radius, so that wouldn't work on your layout.  22" radius just isn't wide enough.

Thank you Jonathan....i got one bookmarked on the desktop for 399.99 ut not sure of the manufacturer but it is dcc/sound
