I have an Anaversy 4-6-0 Big hauler. The smoke and the lights work but the engine chug sound does not. What is involved in getting this fixed? The speeker works because when you switch the sound and light connections from the tender it makes a loud steam sound. Looking for help.

First make sure yu have the sound & lights connectors connected to the correct sockets. Then make sure the red switch between the two connectors on the loco is in the on position. then make sure the switch on the bottom of the tender is on and turned to full volume.  The loco only makes the chuff sound when moving unlike some other sound systems.   Move the loco forward and backward under power to hear the sound.   If the sound does not work after this the  problem is most likely the chuff sensor on the rearmost driver.

Try these first if it still does not work let us know.

hope this helps.

Don't forget the 9V battery in the tender, positive post to the engineer's side.

Red switch is on when in the down position.
