New DCC Loco Help

Recently purchased the HO Scale Bachmann Erie DCC Equipped A and B units.  The A unit is working fine, but the B unit is pretty loud and spins in place or sputtering a few inches.  The A unit is just pulling the B unit around the track instead of it assisting.  Can anyone help?
