bachmann 4-6-0 dcc with sound

Ok I tried reading the cd rom that came with the loco.
I ended up like a deer looking into head lights
I have an ez command,what do I do or can, use it to access the sounds on this loco? Do I need a separate controller 70 year old retired logger , new to model railroading making a layout for my grandson HELP!!

You have access to function 0-9, push the yellow button then button #1-#10. You cannot change any configuration variables (CVs) besides loco address and orientation.
