class j 4-8-4 w/additional tender

I would like some info on DCC and Sound boards to install on this unit, I have recently purchased and understand that it is dcc ready.  looking for some advice. tks jay

A tsunami would be a good choice.

When it says DCC ready, only the wiring harness is installed to hook-up the DCC unit. NO DCC unit is installed!!

That depends on the type of loco. Bachmanns do not have a wiring harness installed, they have the 8-pin plug and that is all. Usually if a loco is DCC ready and says that it has a 9-pin plug then it means a wiring harness is installed. 

Back to the topic, I would suggest the Tsunami but if that is to expensive I would also suggest the shear brilliance MRC sound decoder with the 8-pin NMRA plug.
