Spectrum sounds

 Hi guys and girls. Can some of you please help me with a question or two? I have on my layout a couple of Bachman locos, a 4-8-4 Niagra, factory dcc equiped and a 2-6-6-2 artic which is dcc ready, but I want more. After watching and hearing a layout with sound thats gotta be the only way to go. Has anyone added sound to these two locos,which sound system, any problems I should look out for. Cut capacitors. 
I have two sound equipted 2-6-6-2s.  One has Tsunami, the other MRC Brilliance.  I like them both.

I have one also with Tsunami decoder, and want to vary sounds a bit more than what is "stock".  Have you gotten into that, or know how to?  If not, I can call Josh at Tony's and bother him (some more...)
I know it is in the configuration variables, but I am still in the "I'm intimidated" stage.
