Hi, I'm new to the boards here, but have been reading for quite some time now.  Wondering if anyone here can help me:
I have been searching extensively for a williams CSX NW-2 switcher. Havent had any luck on the web, and have never seen one on ebay. York trains has a pic, but none in stock. Does anyone know where I can find one?
Thanks for the help.

JP of Acton MA, USA writes,
Is this a relatively new product or an old(er) product ?

If it is an old(er) product, there is a good chance it may be out of production. I would say just keep looking anywhere and everywhere you can.

Are you sure that this is a williams product ? I think MTH or Lionel may have at some point produced a CSX NW2.

If your loco is too heavy to lift, you'd better be able to ride in, on or behind it.

Thanks for the replies.  I've seen the mth one, but it's not the color scheme I'm looking for.  Heres the one I'm talking about, second row down on the left.

Dear Steelhead,

I have a very small number of Williams catalogs from 2003, 2004 and 2005 (prior to the Bachmann purchase of Williams).

NW-204 CSX appears in:

August 2003 mixed Golden Memories/Contemporary Line catalog (folded poster, 34"x22" double sided), $200

Winter 2003-2004 Contemporary Line catalog (9"x12" booklet) , $200

No NW2 switchers appear in the Contemporary Line catalog Winter 2004-2005 (folded poster).  Guessing the 44 tonner took up its advertising space.

That is a good looking paint scheme.  No idea how prototypical it is.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

Try the OGR forum from O Gauge Model Railroad Magazine.  It's free to advertize there.

Joe-- thanks for all the info. I guess I'll have to
keep looking, one is bound to pop up on eBay someday.
Yeah, I really like that paint job. Don't care I it's prototypical or not
I just run what I like.

If it helps any, the CSX has been out of production for 2-3 years at least. Unless Bachmann "reruns" them, your only chance of finding them may be on ebay.

List of old Williams dealers:

Click on the word "impatient".

I suppose you would first concentrate on the states where CSX runs:

Hope this helps.

Edit: Added "impatient" sentence, added CSX map link.
