how do I find how old bachmann items are when the item number look up doesnt fin

I have purchased several train sets but the boxes don't have dates on them. I am trying to find out how old these sets are. I have the item numbers but an't seem to find out any info on them. Could any one help. This is my first time at bachmann.com
