I have an older Bachmann loco.  It is a UP road # 824 diesel.  What the original Bachmann Product # was and what type of Diesel it is. It looks very similar to a B30-7 but there seem to be some differences.

A related question;  Is there a source of product #s, descriptions, photos, Year Manufactured of discontinued products.

I'd appreciate the help.

that sounds like a u36b, which has been out of production for years. the big spotting difference between the b23-7 and u36b is the step in the hood width just forward of the radiator "wings" at the rear of the body. the u36b hood is the same width the whole way back.
