FORNEY DCC PROGRAM

Hi  everybody,I have two FORNEYS with sound,that seem to be operating OK except for one of the locos when I press  F3 the whistle does not blow.If i turn off the headlight ,the whistle will blow. when i press F3.So all you DCC experts ,any ideas  ,   can you please help?                                    REGARDS PETER

Thank you Hunt for the reply and the reference to oem of the decoder.It worked wonders,just need to sit down for an hour or two  and program the rest of the functions. regards Peter

While your resetting things, If you havent done it,  try setting the braking CV61 to apply the brakes when F11 is pressed. I  think i set the cv value for 61 to ten or 15 on my on30 forney, if your not familar with this when you set the braking rate cv to anything but 0 when you press f11 the brakes are appied and sqeal as it stops, its a hoot,
