DCC ready?

Is this engine DCC ready? 

BACHMANN Spectrum Diesel F40PH Eng Ph.II AMTRAK  Item #87003.

What decoder would it use if it is, one of Bachmann's ?

unless things have changed, this locomotive should have a standard bachmann split frame chassis. it is not dcc ready, but not a hard conversion to add a decoder. step by step illustrated directions can be found here:

although the locomotive illustrated is an h16-44, i have followed these directions on a gp30, gp35 and sd45. i haven't gotten around to my son's f40ph yet but the process should be the same for all of them.
