replacing motors

My boys accidentally hooked up the track to AC.  I se I can buy a new motor on your website.  Is it easier to replace the entire motor and chassis instead of just the motor?  It is the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express HO scale.  Thanks . Bill R

Does anyone know where I can get a motor from for the Hogwarts 4-6-0? My son's train doesnt work. But his other trains work. Could it be something besides the motor??
