Bachmann Hershey Express Train Problem

I have a Bachmann Hershey Express Train set.  I'm having trouble connecting the locomotive to the first car.  The car has a clasp on the front, but there does not appear to be anywhere on the locomotive to connect it to!

Sounds like the loco is missing a coupler. Are there any couplers on the loco, front or rear?

dose one car coupler look different then the rest? if it dose than look at the engines underside at the rear end and insert the weird end of the car into the underside of the engine.
